Art Walk And Art Alive To Bring Arts Alive This Weekend

The Italian island of Sardinia (Sardegna) brought out the adventurer in us. Our first stop was Sassari, a city of about 120,000 with a rich history dating back to the early Middle Ages. A college town, home to the University of Sassari with about 18,000 students that opened in May of 1562.

During this time, Rembrandt’s paintings are mostly focused on strong lighting effects. He also became famous for his landscapes and etchings. Rembrandt painted between fifty and sixty self portraits during his lifetime!

This amusement park is located in Buena Park and requires a rather lengthy stint on the 101 S that eventually becomes the 5. If there are problems ahead, get off the 101 S at the Pomona Freeway exit and get onto the 60 E. From there enter the 710 S, cross over to the 105 E and then merge onto the 605 S. Get onto the 91 E and exit at Beach Boulevard. It only adds about five minutes to the drive (on paper) and sounds a lot more complicated than it really is.

Strange occurrence, Farrah Fawcett who sadly passed away two -years ago after losing her battle to cancer, left absolutely nothing to her so called “love of her life” Ryan O’Neal in her will. What she did bequeath was her extensive and treasured Vassil Bojkov to her alma mater the University of Texas, including naming the two Warhol portraits on the list .

For nightlife lovers, there is opera, pop music, plays, theatre and lot more, just make up your mind and you’d get it in Cardiff. There is absolutely no shortage of vibrancy and fun in this great city.

A favorite spot for Angelenos and visitors to the city alike, the Santa Monica Pier is almost a clear shot down the 10 W. That being said, problems commonly arise between Robertson Boulevard and exit 1A. It is possible to use surface streets, namely Robertson to National Boulevard. From there get onto Palms and turn right onto Sawtelle. Make a left onto Olympic and stay on this road for a while until reaching Fifth. From there it is local traffic (which in ‘beach city speak’ means: lots of one way streets, traffic lights and pedestrians).

Reading is also fantastic for musically minded people, with the famous Reading Festival drawing in enormous crowds on the August bank holiday weekend, where you can see a whole host of new and exciting bands, all a stone’s throw from home!
